Close to us, you'll find plenty of things to do. History buffs will find the area steeped in stories of the past, with Owain Glyndŵr, the last Welshman to hold the title of Prince Of Wales, having many connections to the local area. There's fun to be had on the River Dee in summer and for rail enthusiasts, the newly opened Corwen rail station connects you to Llangollen along a beautiful track. Travel by diesel and steam in this amazing entirely volunteer-run railway.
If you decide that you want to eat out, there are a host of great eateries nearby, from an award-winning curry house to traditional pub food. And the Rhug Estate just down the road on the A5 does the best organic burgers we've ever tasted.
If you are looking to travel further afield then the A5 is a couple of miles away, opening up the whole of North Wales for you to explore - Mountains, Castles, Mines and adventure are all within easy reach. There's a great public transport system of buses if you've come without a car.
If you want to find out more about the area, visit Corwen.wales where you'll be able to find many things to help your stay.
Exceptional hosts! Setting the bar for hospitality done right Airbnb style.
From the first message to saying my farewells it was such a delight. Louise & John's writers' retreat is the ideal place to get away and get cracking on your book!
Impeccably clean, this delightful well-situated cottage had everything I needed and more! A fabulous stay, incredibly comfy bed and lovely little features that make the place so warm and inviting.
Thank you both!
